Bio
Josh Roberts is a multi-instrumentalist based in Milwaukee, WI building a multifaceted career in both concert and commercial styles on all woodwind Instruments. Performing in pit orchestras for opera and musical theater productions, regional symphony orchestras, wind bands, and jazz big bands, Josh brings his artistry to all. Some regional pit orchestra credits include Sweeney Todd, The Music Man, Die Zauberflöte, The PROM, and Sunday in the Park with George. Josh received his Masters Degree in Multiple Woodwind Performance from Oklahoma City University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Saxophone Performance where he graduated with honors, and a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Josh is a recent winner of the International Clarinet Associations Clareidoscope Young Artist competition in 2024. While Attending UWO, he was recognized as a winner of the music departments Honors Recital in both 2019 and 2020, as well as winner of the UWO Concerto Competition in 2020, performing Ballade for Alto Saxophone and band by Alfred Reed with the UWO Wind Ensemble. Josh was also named winner of the Wisconsin round of the MTNA young artist competition in the woodwind division during the 2020 competition season on saxophone.
